         Understanding the layout of HVAC/R systems is essential for both troubleshooting and installation. Below are simplified diagrams showing the basic components and layouts of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

     

    Air Conditioning System Layout

    Look for the following components:

    • Indoor Unit (Evaporator Coil)
    • Compressor
    • Condenser Coil
    • Expansion Valve
    • Refrigerant Line (High and Low Pressure)
    • Blower Fan
    • Air Duct System
