    Critical Thinking Questions

    1. A retail company currently runs nightly batch ETL from their POS systems into a data warehouse. They want to add real-time inventory tracking. Should they replace batch with streaming entirely, or adopt a hybrid (Lambda) approach? Justify your recommendation considering cost, complexity, and use cases.
    2. An analyst needs data from a social media platform but the official API has strict rate limits (100 requests/hour). Should they supplement with web scraping? Discuss the technical, legal, and ethical trade-offs.
    3. A healthcare organization must ingest patient data from 50 clinics, each with slightly different database schemas. Design an ingestion strategy that handles this heterogeneity while maintaining data quality.
