    About This Resource

Fire Behavior for Entry Level Firefighters provides a practical introduction to the basic scientific concepts that influence fire behavior. Unlike many existing textbooks which are written for experienced firefighters, the material is written to be appropriate for entry level fire protection students and focuses on key principles, essential concepts, and current research which influence firefighting tactics and safety. The author, Robert Smith, is an instructor in the Fire Protection Technician program at Western Technical College.

This Open Educational Resource was developed with support from an Open Western OER Fellowship grant provided by Western Technical College and the Wisconsin Technical College System. Peer review and feedback was provided by Michelle Blum.
