    Susan Roe

    Dr. Susan J. Roe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Francisco State University in the Lam Family College of Business. She has 15 years of hospitality management experience in the areas of food and beverage, catering, and resort operations.Susan has held a variety of roles including Director of Operations Development and Training, Director of Food and Beverage, and Director of Development. Susan also earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certificate. Susan teaches Human Resources classes at SF State and she conducts research on a variety of hospitality topics including the impact of minimum wage changes and the perceived fairness of different gratuity systems in restaurants.
