    Reflection and Final Submission

    Stepping Back, Synthesizing Insights, and Presenting Your Work

    You’ve worked through every phase of the outsourcing planning process: analyzing C-Bay’s strategic posture, deciding what to outsource, evaluating contract types, planning vendor selection, and assessing risks. Now it’s time to pause, reflect, and ensure your team’s deliverables are complete, coherent, and presentation-ready.

    This section is about two things:

    1. Reflection – Capturing what your team learned, what surprised you, and how your thinking evolved

    2. Submission Review – Packaging your materials professionally for evaluation or presentation

    Step 1: Individual and Team Reflection

    Each member of your team should answer the following reflection prompts individually or in small groups. Then, your team should work together to synthesize these insights into a final paragraph representing your collective experience.

    Reflection Prompts

    Answer each prompt in 3–5 sentences.

    1. What did your team assume at the beginning of this milestone—and how did your thinking change as you progressed?
      Think about beliefs around outsourcing, vendors, internal resources, or risk.

    2. What part of the milestone required the most critical thinking or debate?
      Was it the make-or-buy decision? Selecting contract types? Discussing vendor trust? What made it difficult?

    3. What would your team do differently if you were starting over?
      Consider both your project planning process and how you worked as a team.

    4. What professional skill did you practice or improve during this milestone?
      Examples might include stakeholder analysis, structured reasoning, facilitation, or clear writing.

    5. What advice would you give to another team starting this milestone?
      Help future students avoid your biggest pain point or make better use of their time.

    Team Reflection Summary

    Once all team members have shared, write a single paragraph (6–8 sentences) that summarizes your team’s lessons learned. Capture your collective insight, growth, and recommendations for the future.

    You may include direct quotes or organize your reflection around key themes (e.g., clarity, collaboration, strategy, surprises).

    This summary will be read by reviewers and may be included in your final presentation materials.

    Step 2: Submission Checklist

    Use this checklist to confirm that each milestone component is complete and professionally packaged. Each item should be clearly labeled, grammatically polished, and logically organized.

    • All permissions are set correctly
    • Your instructor has edit or view access
    • Nothing is left in draft or unlinked documents

    Final Prompt

    Before you submit, ask yourselves:

    • Does this milestone reflect professional-level thinking?
    • Would a real client trust this plan and feel confident moving forward?
    • Did we balance rigor with clarity? Did we challenge ourselves to go deeper?
    • Are we proud of what we’ve built—together?
