First Day Message: What You’re Really Here to Learn
Welcome to CIS 95C. Before we open the first milestone, I want to tell you something that might surprise you:
This class isn’t really about risk management.
It’s about what happens when things don’t go as planned.
It’s about how people communicate—or don’t.
It’s about what we see, what we miss, and what we’re afraid to say out loud.
It’s about silence in meetings, tension between teams, friction in feedback.
It’s about what we do when no one has the perfect answer.
And most importantly:
It’s about how you lead, decide, listen, and grow when clarity doesn’t come easy.
In this course, you’ll learn how to:
