    Explosion The rapid, almost instant, combustion of a material that causes a powerful shock waveto travel through the shop        
    Explosive any substance or device that can be made to produce a volume of rapidly expanding gas in an extremely brief period        
    Extinguisher an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations. It is not intended for use on an out-of-control fire        
    Fall Positioning Device A system which utilize a body belt or body harness rigged in a manner which permits the employee to be supported on an elevated vertical surface, such as a wall, and work with both hands free.        
    Fire Watch Person who carefully watches for fires that may start in the area where the welding or cutting is done.
