    When you are invited for an interview or go to a job fair: Dress for Success! This means dress nicely. You may not have to wear a suit, like the man and woman in the video you will watch, but you do want to look nice.

    Greet the person with a firm handshake and make eye contact and smile. If your culture or religion prohibits you from shaking hands, simply say, "my culture does not allow me to shake hands." Look at them and smile anyway.

    When asked about yourself and your experiences tell them the things you wrote down in the skills unit. Let them know the jobs or experiences you have had that show you are responsible, and a good employee. You can tell places you worked, even in your home country. You can include businesses such as: companies, stores, warehouses, restaurants. Or if you have not had a job you can tell about services: babysitting, yard work, community volunteering, fixing household things for family or neighbors.

    Tell them what languages you speak and let them know you are working on learning more English.

    Feel free to tell employers what things you are good at. Especially if these things will help you at the job you are applying for. Remember your hard and soft skills will help you be an excellent employee. Tell the employer about your skills.

    Don't talk negatively about other jobs, bosses or people.

    Say why you would be interested to work for their company.

    If you are asked if you have any questions you could ask what your responsibilities would be in the job, if they have not already told you. Or, you could ask if there is opportunity to grow in the company. You can ask what the hourly pay is, but it is best not to have that be your only question. The employer wants you to be interested in the job as well as the money!
