    This resource was made possible in part by the permission granted through Long Beach City College (LBCC) Electrical Technology Department to make the Elect 253 Construction Safety Workbook available to the OER Commons via Libretexts and as a direct result of a grant funded through the ASCCC Open Educational Resource Initiative (OERI). The Construction Safety Workbook was repurposed as a textbook, reorganized to include new chapter overviews and revised to include additional chapters on Valuing Work, Walking and Working surfaces, Safety and Health Programs, Managing Safety and Health, Medical and First Aid. The repurposing allows use across all skilled trades disciplines, is equity minded and culturally responsive when and where appropriate.

    The author would like to thank Allison Murray, LBCC OER Liaison for direction and support in submitting the 3rd round ASCCC OERI Grant Proposal, Suzanne Engelhardt, LBCC Professor Electrical Technology for supporting this effort as the lead college, and Crystal Nasio Dean of Instruction, Workforce & Economic Development Barstow College for offering content support for the grant proposal.
