Throughout this course, refer to this GenAI Tools Guide, organized by generation modality. We will attempt to update it regularly, but the field moves faster than any resource can keep pace with, so some entries may be out of date by the time you read them. You are not required to pay for a subscription to any AI model — the free tier of many GenAI platforms is remarkably capable, and this course is structured to fit comfortably within their typical rate limits. You may even find it worthwhile to use a few different free platforms rather than relying on just one; we'd strongly encourage that approach.
