Affirmations |
Speaking something positive about oneself, often in a repetitive manner. |
“Big Why” |
One’s “why” or purpose is their reason for a driving force and their strong motivation to succeed. |
Critical Thinking |
A framework that involves analyzing and forming conclusions based on observations and research. |
Dream Board |
Is also known as a goal board or vision board. is a powerful tool to bring aspirations, thoughts, and feelings regarding your goals to life |
Fear |
Fear is an unpleasant emotional response or reaction to something that may cause danger. |
Fixed Mindset |
Is one in which a child or adult believes that they were born with their talents, skills, and personality. |
Gratitude |
is a feeling of thankfulness or appreciation |
Growth Mindset |
Means that you believe that your innate skills can be developed and compounded over time through learning and persistence. |
Humility |
is a quality that shows modesty and a state of being humble. |
Mentor |
is an experienced advisor who provides support and advice to a mentee. |
Mindset |
Is a collection of beliefs and attitudes formed through past experiences, guiding how a person reacts to events and situations. |
Motivation |
is an internal process we use to drive us to make decisions that propel us forward |
Permissive Mindset |
Prone to being influenced by others, following fads, and succumbing to peer pressure. |
Positive Mental Attitude |
is a state of mind that envisions and expects positive outcomes. |
Procrastination |
Is a bad habit that can be broken by concentrated effort over some time. |
Resistant Mentality |
Attitude that is obstinate, stubborn, or inflexible. |
Self-Discipline |
describes your ability to successfully complete actions that move you in the direction of your desired goals. |
Self-Confidence |
is the belief in oneself combined with optimism and empowerment to turn thoughts into actions. |
SMART Goals |
Goal that include five elements: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. |

Making thoughtful judgments by checking decision-making against personal and professional values. |
